Part 1: Navigating

To Navigate Notion, you can:

  1. Click on where you want to go as you see it
  2. Find the matching heading within a document via the table of contents (top right of each page)
  3. Use the search function (Ctrl + F)
  4. Access the parent folder by following the breadcrumb at the top of each page, which looks like:

🔒 Locking a Page

Once you have customised a page to your liking, you can lock the page to prevent accidental changes. You do this by looking at the top right of the page, clicking on the ⚫⚫⚫ and “Lock page”. You can also unlock the page using the same method.

Part 2: Page VS Database

📄 Page

A “Page” is like a folder on your computer, AND a Word Document.

Everything in Notion is organised like a folder:

📦 Database

A “Database” is like a collection of pages. Think of a notebook with unlimited pages that you add or remove. Each page can be “tagged” as if you added a sticky note.
